In a bid to enhance service delivery and keep his ‘Rescue Mission’ train
on track, the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has
approved a minor reshuffle of his cabinet.
This was contained in a
statement released on Tuesday by the state government. Okorocha
disclosed that the action was ‘to ensure optimum productivity and in the
overall interest of the people of the state.’
According to the statement: “The
Accountant-General of the state, Mr. George Eche, has been moved to the
Ministry of Works as Permanent Secretary, while, Mrs. Udogwu S.N. takes
over as the new Accountant-General. Mrs. Uzoma Uwandu replaces Mrs.
Udogwu S.N. as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and
Rural Development.
“E.O. Asonye Igwe moves from the Local
Government service commission to the ministry of Internal Resources and
Pension Affairs as Permanent Secretary.
“Lilian Asuzu moves as
permanent secretary, ministry of Finance to Ministry of Agriculture and
Natural Resources. Mr. Bona Ibebuike moves from Ministry of Petroleum
and Environment to Ministry of Community Government, Culture and
Traditional Affairs.
“Dr. (Mrs.) Ijeoma Ekeanyanwu moves from
House of Assembly Service Commission to Ministry of Tertiary Education,
Science and Technology. While Mr. Nobert Okoro leaves the Ministry of
Works for Ministry of Finance.
