I got a call from a close friend the other day that left me speechless.  He had expressed the thoughts that he was wary of a Buhari presidency because of the fear of Islamisation. He is a medical doctor; well travelled and well read.
In our younger days he used to consume Time magazine every week religiously and we are usually on the same page on many issues.

Plane crash lands in Ilorin



59 passengers and four crew members aboard an Overland  Airlines plane  escaped death, yesterday, in Ilorin, Kwara State capital,  when the jet crash landed.
The aircraft, with  registration number, 051175/1176, was said to be on its way to Ibadan when it developed fault.

11 feared killed in Rivers gun attack



About eleven persons were feared dead in Omoku, headquarters of Ogba Egbema Ndoni local government area of Rivers State, following a shooting spree by gunmen who stormed the area Friday night and yesterday afternoon.

Bomb rocks Kano Mosque



Many people were feard dead with scores injured when multiple bomb blast, Friday, rocked Kano central mosque, near the Emir Palace, during Jumaat prayer.
It was  learnt that the explosion occurred while people were listening to the Friday sermon from the chief imam of Kano.
